Column capital decoration is the general name for dressing the capital piece at the top of a column with motifs such as leaves, volutes and profiles. The capital is used as a decorative element that completes the column at the transition between the shaft and the ceiling or eave. Polyurethane is lightweight and is fixed in place with assembly adhesive; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack or swell, and can be painted.
