column concealment element

A column concealment element is a polyurethane part that covers and conceals load-bearing columns or pipe and duct runs. It usually consists of two half profiles that are joined to wrap around the column, covering a plain concrete or steel surface with a decorative shell. The polyurethane material is lightweight and is applied with installation adhesive; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack or blister, and can be painted. Because it is light, positioning the parts is easy on tall columns and it installs faster than plaster cladding.
