Column concealment is the practice of covering exposed concrete, steel or service columns with polyurethane cladding elements to hide them under a decorative finish. It is used in shops, offices and homes to conceal load-bearing columns or pipe and duct groups left in the middle of a space. The polyurethane cladding parts are lightweight and are applied directly with installation adhesive; they resist moisture and impact, do not crack or blister, and can be painted. Being light makes installation easier in high-ceilinged spaces and requires less labour than plaster cladding.
