Column ornament elements is the general name for the polyurethane capital, base, ring and ornamental parts that give a column a classical or decorative appearance. These elements are applied to the lower, upper and intermediate sections of the column shaft to create a coherent ornamentation. The polyurethane material is lightweight and is applied directly with installation adhesive; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack or blister, and can be painted. Being light makes positioning the ornamental parts easier on tall columns and it is more durable than plaster ornament.
