combined casing

A combined casing is an integrated casing system in which the side casing and upper pediment–arch elements are applied together to a door or window edge. Plain side profiles and a decorative upper crest part come together to create a complete frame look. The polyurethane material is lightweight and is applied to the wall with installation adhesive; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack or blister, and can be painted. Being light eases installation and, unlike a wooden casing, it is unaffected by moisture. Since it is mould-produced, the profile and ornament details repeat identically on every piece and dimensional consistency is maintained between parts.
