railing top handrail

A railing top handrail is a polyurethane profile element placed on the upper edge of a railing, serving as both a grip and a finish. On stair, balcony and terrace railings it forms the top line and finishes the railing neatly. It sits on top of the railing and is fixed with construction adhesive. The polyurethane material is lightweight and applied directly; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack, swell or warp, and can be painted. Unlike timber handrails it is unaffected by moisture, and it is much lighter than stone and concrete equivalents. Because it is mould-cast, the profile cross-section is identical on every piece and gives clean joints along long railing runs.
