railing top profile

A railing top profile is a polyurethane profile element applied to the upper edge of a railing, providing capping and a finish. It is used in stair, balcony and terrace applications to finish the top surface of a railing or parapet wall with a clean line. It is placed on top of the railing and fixed with construction adhesive. The polyurethane material is lightweight and applied directly; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack, swell or warp, and can be painted. Unlike timber profiles it is unaffected by moisture, and it is lighter than concrete and stone equivalents. Because it is mould-cast, the profile cross-section is exactly the same on every piece and gives clean joints along long runs.
