Stair Newel Post

A stair newel post is a vertical polyurethane decorative element that carries the handrail at the start and turning points of a stair railing. It forms the connection between the handrail and the steps at the railing's main support points and gives the railing its shape. Polyurethane is lightweight and is applied as a cladding over a wooden or metal load-bearing core, or as a light decorative element fixed with mounting adhesive and screws. It resists moisture and impact, does not crack or swell, and can be painted any colour. Being lighter than solid wood, it installs as a ready-made profile without joinery work.
