architectural moulding

An architectural moulding is a long-section polyurethane element used to create lines on wall, ceiling or facade surfaces and to decorate transitions. It covers linear decorative elements such as cornices, bands, trims and surrounds; it provides a smooth transition and shadow line between surfaces. The polyurethane material is lightweight and applied with assembly adhesive; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack, swell or warp and can be painted. Compared with a plaster or timber moulding it is unaffected by moisture and can be joined to cover long runs. Because it is moulded, the profile cross-section stays identical along every metre.
