A furniture carving motif is a relief ornament pattern that recreates the look of wood carving in polyurethane. With leaf, flower, scroll and baroque ornaments, it gives cabinet, display unit and door facades a classical carved appearance. Compared with real wood carving, it is lighter and lower in cost. Polyurethane is applied directly with wood glue or construction adhesive; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack, swell or warp, and can be painted to match the furniture colour.
