Polyurethane is lightweight and applied directly with assembly adhesive; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack, swell or warp, and can be painted. It is lighter and faster to mount than carved wood and more break-resistant than plaster. Because it is mould-cast, details are identical on every piece.
