Furniture top ornaments is the general name for the polyurethane crown- and border-shaped decorative pieces added to the top edge of furniture. They are used for decoration along the top line of wardrobes, display units and cabinets. Polyurethane is lightweight and applied directly with assembly adhesive; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack, swell or warp, and can be painted. Being lighter than carved wood ornaments, they add no load to the furniture, and they are more break-resistant than plaster. Because they are mould-cast, details repeat identically on every piece.
