water-resistant ceiling profile

A water-resistant ceiling profile is a long decorative polyurethane moulding used on the ceiling surface or at the wall-to-ceiling joint, made to suit damp areas. In bathrooms, kitchens and damp living rooms it frames the ceiling or creates a hidden lighting recess. Polyurethane does not absorb water and withstands moisture and impact; unlike a plaster profile it will not crack, blister or sag from moisture, and unlike wood it will not rot. Being light, it is fixed straight on with mounting adhesive and installs in a short time. The surface takes paint, so it adapts to the ceiling colour. Because it is mould-cast, the cross-section stays the same on every piece. Polure produces water-resistant ceiling profiles in a range of widths and profiles.
