A carved rose motif is a polyurethane decorative motif in which a rose form is rendered as carved-look relief. It is used as a decorative element in wall panels, at the centres of ceiling medallions, and in corner and border applications. Polyurethane is lightweight and is fixed directly with mounting adhesive; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack or swell, and can be painted. It is lighter than carved wood and is unaffected by moisture. Because it is mould-produced, the leaf and curl details of the rose motif repeat identically on every piece, ensuring consistency in repeated applications.
