carved ornamentation

Carved ornamentation is the general term for polyurethane decorative work made with carved-look relief motifs. With elements such as panels, borders, corner motifs and appliqués, it is used to create decorative patterns on wall, ceiling and corner surfaces. Polyurethane is lightweight and is fixed directly with mounting adhesive; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack or swell, and can be painted. Compared with carved wood, it is lighter, unaffected by moisture and faster to install. Because it is mould-produced, the carved details repeat with the same depth and detail on every piece. Polure manufactures the polyurethane products used in carved ornamentation in a range of sizes and motifs.
