A carved ceiling ornament is a polyurethane ceiling decoration applied to the ceiling surface, carrying carved-look relief motifs. It is used to create decorative patterns at the centre of ceiling medallions, in corners or on ceiling panels. Polyurethane is lightweight and is fixed directly with mounting adhesive; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack or swell, and can be painted. Being lighter than carved wood, it is installed quickly and without adding extra load to the ceiling.
