A carved batten corner is a polyurethane corner element carrying a carved-look relief motif, applied to the corner junctions of decorative battens. It is used at the corner joints of wall or ceiling battens to conceal the joint and add ornamentation to the corner. Polyurethane is lightweight and is fixed directly with mounting adhesive; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack or swell, and can be painted. Using a ready-made corner piece reduces the need for mitre-cutting the battens at the corner and speeds up installation.
