Carved console models refer to the range of patterns, sizes and forms of decorative polyurethane consoles with carved motifs on their surface. These models are used as decorative elements that give a load-bearing look beneath shelves, tops, eaves and cornices. The polyurethane material is lightweight; it is applied with construction adhesive and, where needed, screws, resists moisture and impact, does not crack or swell, and can be painted. Unlike wood consoles it is unaffected by moisture, and compared with plaster the risk of breakage is low. Because it is mould-cast, the carved detail of each model repeats identically from piece to piece. Polure produces carved console models in a range of sizes and motifs.
