Carved corbel models refer to the range of patterns, sizes and forms of polyurethane corbels with carved motifs. These models are used as decorative elements that give a diagonal support look beneath cornices, at eave ends and under shelves. The polyurethane material is lightweight; it is applied with construction adhesive and, where needed, screws, resists moisture and impact, does not crack or swell, and can be painted. Unlike wood corbels it is unaffected by moisture, and compared with plaster the risk of breakage is low. Because it is mould-cast, the carved detail of each model repeats identically from piece to piece. Polure produces carved corbel models in a range of sizes and motifs.
