carved column decor

Carved column decor is a decorative polyurethane ornament applied to the shaft and capital of a column, carrying a motif raised in relief by carving. On full or half columns it is used to decorate the shaft, capital and base areas with a classic appearance. The polyurethane material is lightweight; it is applied directly with construction adhesive, resists moisture and impact, does not crack or swell, and can be painted. It is far lighter than stone or plaster ornamentation, and unlike wood it is unaffected by moisture. Because it is mould-cast, the carved details repeat the same on every piece.
