corbelled cornice moulding

A corbelled cornice moulding is a polyurethane decorative application in which corbel (console) elements are placed at intervals along the lower line of a cornice moulding applied to the wall-ceiling junction. While the cornice frames the perimeter of the ceiling, the corbels added beneath it form a classic console series and add depth to the cornice line. It is used on the ceilings of living rooms, dining rooms and entrance halls. Both the cornice moulding and the corbels are mould-cast from polyurethane; they are light, applied with mounting adhesive, and resistant to moisture and impact. They do not crack or swell and can be painted. Being light compared to its plaster equivalent makes ceiling installation easier. Mould production ensures the corbels appear identical at equal intervals. Polure produces cornice profiles together with matching corbel elements; the corbel spacing is set according to the cornice length.
