Polymer Pilaster
A polymer pilaster is a decorative half-column element made from polymer (polyurethane) that appears half-embedded in the wall. It projects slightly from the wall surface to give a column effect; it is used as vertical ornamentation along door and window edges, on hall walls, and between columns. It is usually applied together with a capital and a base. Polymer material is lightweight, resistant to moisture and impact, does not crack, swell, and can be painted; this makes it lighter than a plaster or stone pilaster and it is applied directly to the wall with assembly adhesive.
