A polyurethane onlay is a decorative applied piece added onto a surface to create relief ornamentation. It is used to add motifs or ornaments to cabinet doors, cabinet surfaces, doors and walls. The material is lightweight and bonds directly with mounting adhesive; it resists moisture and impact, will not crack, swell or warp, and takes paint well. The ability to cast fine, detailed relief from a mould makes onlay pieces durable in polyurethane; fine details that break easily in plaster stay solid here.
