polyurethane door casing

A polyurethane door casing is a profile element made of polyurethane that frames the edges of a door frame and covers the joint between the wall and the frame. It is used around interior and exterior doors to conceal the frame edge and give the door a framed appearance. Polyurethane is lightweight and is applied directly to the frame edge with mounting adhesive. It resists moisture and impact, does not crack or swell, and can be painted after priming to match the colour of the room. Unlike wood casings it is not affected by moisture and does not swell, and compared with plaster equivalents it is lighter and faster to install. Because it is mould-cast, the profile section repeats identically on every piece. Polure produces door casings in a range of widths and sizes.
