polyurethane door pediment

A polyurethane door pediment is the polyurethane version of the upper ornamental element that crowns a door, placed above the door opening. It is used above the door surround to add emphasis to the door and complete the transition. Polyurethane is lightweight and is applied directly to the wall or above the surround with mounting adhesive. It resists moisture and impact, does not crack or swell, and can be painted after priming to match the colour of the room. Compared with stone or plaster pediments it is lighter and faster to install, and unlike wood it is not affected by moisture. Because it is mould-cast, the pediment profile and motif details repeat identically on every piece. Polure produces door pediments in a range of widths and sizes.
