A polyurethane furniture trim is a decorative relief piece made from polyurethane and added to furniture surfaces. It is used to add classic detailing to cabinets, wardrobes, display units and chests. Unlike wood carving, polyurethane trims are lightweight, resistant to moisture and insects, and do not crack or swell over time; they are easily fixed with adhesive or screws. Because the surface can be painted, it adapts to the colour of the furniture and allows antiquing and gilding finishes.
