A polyurethane pedestal is a decorative element that serves as a base and plinth placed under elements such as columns or sculptures. It is used as the base on which a column body sits, or as a stand for vases, sculptures and decorative objects. Polyurethane is lightweight and fixed to the floor with construction adhesive; it is resistant to moisture and impact, does not crack or swell, and can be painted. Being lighter than stone and plaster plinths makes handling and positioning easier, and it is unaffected by moisture.
