Polyurethane precast is the general name for lightweight decorative facade elements that give the look of concrete precast using polyurethane material. Elements such as surrounds, cornices, sills, columns and panels are produced from polyurethane instead of heavy concrete precast, giving the facade a stone or concrete-textured appearance. The polyurethane material is lightweight and is fixed directly to the facade surface with construction adhesive and screws. It resists moisture and outdoor weather conditions, does not crack or swell, and can be painted with exterior facade paint. Being far lighter than concrete precast significantly reduces handling, crane and installation costs. Since the elements are mould-produced, the dimensions and details repeat identically on every piece. Polure produces precast-look facade elements in different profile and size options.
