Polyurethane restoration products are polyurethane parts used to renew the original decorative elements of old and historic buildings. Mould-produced parts such as surrounds, cornices, column capitals, rosettes and medallions are fitted in place of damaged or lost original ornamentation. The polyurethane material is lightweight, so it adds no extra load to the old building's structural system and is applied with construction adhesive. It resists moisture and impact, does not crack or blister and can be painted; it can be painted in a colour matching the existing surface. Because it is mould-produced, an exact copy of a damaged motif can be obtained by taking a mould from an intact example. Polure produces restoration parts in moulds to match the existing size and profile.
