A polyurethane decoration motif is the repeating embellishment pattern or figure worked into the surface of polyurethane decorative elements. Motifs such as leaves, roses, scrolls, geometric borders or classical ornament appear on the surfaces of pieces such as cornices, medallions, casings and bosses. They are used to detail elements around walls, ceilings and openings. The polyurethane material is lightweight and the motifed piece is applied directly with adhesive; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack or swell and can be painted.
