The Polure P1454 surround is a polyurethane facade profile, produced under the P1454 model code, used to frame the edges of windows and doors on exterior walls. It outlines the area around openings on the facade, defines the edges and creates a consistent line. The polyurethane material is lightweight, so it can be fixed to the facade with mounting adhesive and screws without the need for heavy scaffolding. It resists moisture, frost and outdoor weather conditions; it will not crack or blister and can be painted with exterior wall paint. Because it is lighter than its plaster or stone equivalent, it adds no extra load to the facade. Since it is mould-produced, the cross-section and dimensions of the P1454 profile repeat identically on every piece, which keeps the joints neatly aligned on long facades.
