polyurethane column bases

Polure column bases are polyurethane base elements that sit at the bottom of the column shaft and organise the transition between the shaft and the floor. They form the lowest part of the column and connect the shaft to the floor with a clean profile; in classical orders this is the stepped form on which the column rests. The polyurethane material is lightweight, applied under the shaft and to the floor with mounting adhesive. It resists moisture and impact, does not crack or blister and can be painted; being much lighter than its stone equivalent it is easy to carry and install. Since it is mould-produced, the base profile is identical on every piece and joins compatibly with the shaft diameter. Polure produces column bases in size options suited to different shaft diameters.
