A smooth indirect light profile is a straight-lined polyurethane light profile that can house an LED strip and has no pattern on its surface. It is used to create indirect (concealed) lighting on walls and ceilings; the light source stays hidden and a soft reflected light is obtained. Polyurethane is light and is applied directly with assembly adhesive; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack, blister, or peel, and can be painted. The channel in the profile cross-section conceals the LED strip, while its flat surface gives a smooth look when painted. Because it is mould-cast, the cross-section is standard.
