A smooth door and window surround model is a straight-lined polyurethane surround (door/window frame) profile with no pattern on its surface. It is used in interiors and exteriors to frame the edges of doors and windows and emphasise the opening. Polyurethane is light and is applied directly with assembly adhesive; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack, blister, or peel, and can be painted. Being moisture-resistant on the exterior is an important advantage for a surround. Its flat surface gives a plain, smooth frame look when painted. Because it is mould-cast, the cross-section is the same on every piece. Polure produces the smooth surround model in a range of width and cross-section options.
