under-shelf bracket

An under-shelf bracket is a polyurethane support element placed beneath wall-mounted shelves that both carries the shelf and adds a decorative look. It is used on console shelves, mantel tops and wall niches to combine load support with ornamentation. The polyurethane material is lightweight and applied directly with mounting adhesive; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack or swell, and can be painted. Unlike wooden equivalents, it does not absorb moisture and warp, is not attacked by insects, and because it is mould-cast the surface detail is identical on every piece. It can be produced in flat or curved relief forms. Polure manufactures under-shelf brackets in a range of sizes and profile options.
