under-shelf corbel

An under-shelf corbel is a polyurethane bracket placed between the underside of a shelf and the wall, supporting the shelf with its angled or curved form. It is used on console shelves, kitchen and bathroom shelves, and wall niches for both support and decorative relief. The polyurethane material is lightweight and applied directly with mounting adhesive; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack or swell, and can be painted. Unlike a wooden corbel it does not absorb moisture and bend, and because it is mould-cast the relief detail repeats exactly on every piece. It can be produced in classic curved or plain forms.
