Relief carved motifs are motifs that give polyurethane decorative products a carved-look raised pattern on their surface. They are used on cornices, mouldings, column capitals and wall panels to create classic and traditional pattern detail. They carry the look of traditional hand-carved craftsmanship but, because they are mould-cast, repeat with the same sharpness on every piece. The polyurethane material is lightweight and applied with mounting adhesive; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack or swell, and can be painted. Unlike carved wood it is unaffected by moisture and gives a consistent result in series production. When painted after mounting, the carved detail stands out.
