Relief column cladding is a polyurethane cladding element with a raised pattern on its surface, fitted over the outer face of an existing column or pillar. It is used to conceal living room, entrance and facade columns and give them a decorative patterned column appearance. The polyurethane material is lightweight and applied directly with mounting adhesive; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack or swell, and can be painted. It is usually installed as two half pieces wrapped around the column. It is more break-resistant than plaster equivalents and, unlike wood, is unaffected by moisture.
