rustic rafter end cap

A rustic rafter end cap is a wood-textured polyurethane finishing element that neatly closes the area where rafter ends meet the wall or eaves. It is used on open ceilings and canopies to give a clean finish to rafter ends. The polyurethane material is lightweight and applied directly with mounting adhesive; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack, swell or warp, and can be painted. Unlike real wood it does not absorb moisture and swell and is not attacked by insects, and compared with plaster it is lighter and more break-resistant.
