soffit moulding

Soffit moulding is a polyurethane profile fitted to the underside of the roof eaves, running along the line where the wall meets the overhang. It tidies the transition between the facade and the eaves and finishes the soffit with a decorative moulding band. Polyurethane is lightweight, so even a tall profile at facade height can be carried by one person and fixed with construction adhesive. Because it resists moisture, it is unaffected by rain and damp outdoors; it does not crack or swell and can be painted with exterior facade paint. Compared with plaster or timber alternatives, it lasts longer outdoors and installs quickly. As it is mould-cast, the profile section repeats identically on every piece, giving a straight, continuous line along the eaves. Polure produces soffit moulding in a range of widths and profiles.
