plain ceiling profile

A plain ceiling profile is a straight-lined polyurethane coving profile, free of raised motifs, applied at the junction of the ceiling and wall. It is used to frame the edge of the ceiling and neatly close off the junction line. Polyurethane is lightweight, so it can be fitted to the ceiling edge by a single person with construction adhesive. It resists moisture and impact, does not crack or swell, and can be painted. Compared with a plaster equivalent, it is lighter, installs quickly and can also be used in damp rooms. Because it is mould-cast, the profile section repeats identically on every piece, giving a straight, continuous line along the ceiling.
