faux beam bracket

A faux beam bracket is a hollow polyurethane support element that gives the appearance of a corbel beneath a decorative polyurethane beam. It is used where the faux wood beam meets the wall, imitating a real load-bearing corbel to provide visual continuity. Polyurethane is lightweight; being lower in weight than real timber, it is fitted easily with construction adhesive and blocks. It resists moisture and impact, does not crack, swell or rot, and can be painted. Compared with a timber equivalent, it is unaffected by damp, does not attract insects and installs quickly.
