Faux beam cladding is the application of polyurethane beam elements to give a ceiling surface the look of decorative wooden beams. A faux beam is a hollow, lightweight ceiling element made from polyurethane that imitates the texture of a real wooden beam. It is used as decorative cladding on living room, kitchen and attic ceilings. The polyurethane material is lightweight, resistant to moisture and impact, does not crack, swell or attract insects, and is fixed directly to the ceiling with mounting adhesive and screws.
