A rigid foam cornice moulding is a decorative transition profile produced from rigid polyurethane foam, applied at the wall-to-ceiling joint. It is used to create a border line at the ceiling edge and to conceal the joint line. The rigid foam structure is sturdier and more detailed than standard styrofoam; it is lightweight, applied directly with assembly adhesive, resists moisture and impact, does not crack, does not swell and can be painted. Because the profile section is mould-produced, it repeats the same along its length and forms a continuous line when the ends are joined.
