A vintage decorative element is the general term for polyurethane decorative pieces inspired by period furniture and architectural ornamentation styles. They are used to create a classic, nostalgic look on wall panels, furniture surfaces, and frame and cornice edges. The polyurethane material is lightweight and applied directly with mounting adhesive; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack, swell or warp, and can be painted; it offers a surface suited to distressing and patina painting techniques. Lighter than its wood equivalent and unaffected by moisture, it is easy to install. Because it is mould-produced, the motif details repeat identically on every piece.
