- Substructure Core Verification — Verify that the load-bearing steel or concrete core framework is securely anchored to the staircase structure and compliant with local structural safety codes.
- Angle Measurement and Cutting — Measure the exact incline angle of the staircase. Execute precision 45-degree miter cuts or custom compound cuts on the polyurethane handrail sections using a fine-toothed miter saw.
- Adhesive Application — Apply a continuous bead of specialized polyurethane assembly adhesive along the contact surfaces and miter joints. Standard silicone adhesives are strictly prohibited due to inadequate structural bonding capability.
- Mechanical Fastening — Position the handrail over the core structure and execute mandatory mechanical screw fixing to secure the polyurethane profile firmly into place while the adhesive cures.
- Joint Filling and Surface Sanding — Fill all fastener countersinks and miter joint seams with polyurethane-compatible surface filler. Once cured, sand the joints smooth using grain 180-220 sandpaper.
- Surface Priming and UV Topcoating — Clean all dust from the surface. While factory-primed profiles accept direct painting, applying an optional additional primer coat ensures optimal adhesion for the mandatory two topcoats of UV-resistant exterior paint.
Precision execution on non-standard staircase geometries requires professional field measurements. On-site technical survey, measurement, analysis, and 3D spatial scanning services are carried out as fee-based professional operations. Technical teams utilize XGRID point cloud technology and precision Artec 3D scanners (including Ray, Spider 2, Eva, and Leo models) to capture exact spatial dimensions.
When necessary, the complete staircase volume is scanned into digital point clouds. These precise 3D scanned models are then integrated into site renderings and production plans to guarantee exact fitment before field cutting. Project cost estimations and formal price quotes are provided without charge, whereas on-site survey fees are calculated based on location and scope.
Logistics and Multi-Country Surface Protection
International logistics across European borders require protective packaging to prevent profile abrasion during transit. Upon arrival at the installation site, polyurethane profiles must be stored on flat, dry surfaces away from direct soil contact. When installed on exterior staircases, applying a UV-resistant topcoat paint is mandatory to prevent long-term surface degradation from direct sun exposure.
