Antique column capitals are polyurethane capital elements placed on the upper part of a column, carrying the classical ornaments of antique orders such as Doric, Ionic or Corinthian. They are used in classical interiors on decorative or load-bearing columns as a transition and finishing element. Polyurethane capitals are lightweight and are fixed to the column shaft with assembly adhesive; they resist moisture and impact, do not crack or swell and can be painted. Being lighter than stone and plaster equivalents makes overhead installation easier.
