The balcony railing top rail is the upper rail profile at the very top of a balcony railing that crowns the baluster row. It forms the handrail line of the railing and closes the system from above by joining the baluster ends together. A polyurethane top rail is lightweight and speeds up installation; it resists moisture and outdoor conditions, does not crack or swell, and can be painted with exterior facade paint. Because it is mould-cast, the rail profile repeats in the same cross-section along the whole line, providing a clean, continuous top edge.
