facade column base

A facade column base is a decorative polyurethane base element placed at the bottom end of columns and pilasters on a building's exterior, seating the column on the ground. It forms a transition profile between the column shaft and the ground and is used beneath entrance, balcony and facade columns. Polyurethane is lightweight and is applied with construction adhesive; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack or blister and can be painted with exterior facade paint. Being lighter than stone and plaster equivalents, it installs faster and is less affected by ground moisture. Polure casts facade column bases in different diameters and orders, so the base profile repeats identically on every piece.
