Decorative transition is the general name for the polyurethane profiles and elements used to soften or emphasise the boundary between two surfaces or two spaces; it covers arch, column and profile solutions. It is used at transition points between spaces such as living room and corridor, or kitchen and dining area, to create a classic or simple frame. The polyurethane material is lightweight and is applied directly with construction adhesive; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack, swell or warp, and can be painted. It installs faster than its plaster counterpart. Because it is mould-cast, the profile detail is identical on every piece.
